Years ago, Andy Beyer changed the way we handicapped horse races when he figured out how to standardize speed figures. He wasn't the only person playing around with the concept, but he did organize the material and made it so we could use the data to find winning horses. Later, after everyone got on the speed figure bandwagon and it got harder and harder to make a profit at the races with speed figures, so then Mr. Beyer gave us trip handicapping. Of course, trip handicapping had also been around for quite some time, too. Many people used the comments of the dramatic chart writers to try to find hidden handicapping gems ( I Still Do ) and others did their own race watching and keep their own notes (like me.) Mr. Beyer, being a very talented writer, put it all down on paper and taught a whole generation how to watch a race and to benefit from the experience for handicapping purposes.
Some of the concepts seem deceptively simple, but it took one man hard work and know how to put them in a concise and reasonably understandable language then go out, get a big time publisher to publish them and so on. Simple or not, trip handicapping is more subjective than speed figures and therefore, much harder to use and master. For that reason, it is a good idea to practice and become skilled at it before trying to wager with its methods, but it takes time and study which is hard work and there is no escaping it hard-work has to be done to see any kind of routine pattern of successful handicapping and if you really want to become proficient and consistent at selecting the top performers on a daily basis there is no way around the hours of time and effort, if you want to play you have to pay.
Anyone can see that a horse with speed fig in the 90's will usually beat a horse who never cracked an 85, but just how badly a horse checked or was impeded or took a bad step during a race is much harder to measure reading the racing form than it is to the observer of the race who can see just how much the horse lost because of that trip or clip. Learning how to watch race replay relevance is skill and the best way to develop that skill it is by watching a hell of allot of horse races, and making detailed notes about the horses past performance, track bios conditions, weather and anything race relevant , then comparing your notes to the horse's next race to see just how today's conditions will affect the next performance in a positive or negative direction.
What you are doing is developing a skill that can earn you some really nice payoffs for your time, trouble and hard work. Why don't more people take the time to develop this skill? Because it is time consuming and it is like real work. Most players of today's new technology generation are recreational gamblers and handicappers who just want to have fun have a few beers have some live action on the game or at the race track - usually on big day stakes venues. Fortunately for me and professional handicappers like me who make our living off these weekend action players, not each other the sport of horse racing has change dramatically with the changes in technology and has seen large losses of its younger generation track side fan base and huge gains in its nationwide pari-mutual pools and race purses with the addition of race track simulcasting, legal online and Smartphone horse racing wagering and Racinos, there's more cash money wagered today (2013) & per day in American horse racing than all other sports combined, so why the decline in players.? They know nothing about the sport and or either have no interest or are afraid to wager on something they know little about. Most of the younger generation 20 - 28 years of age when surveyed nation wide in 2012 had never been to a horse race track and most believed the sport was fixed and for old guys that smoked cigars and had nothing much better to do with their time. Well it's just a really sad scenario for me as I was brought up around this great sport and can't imagine my life without it or the people involved with it, but its ok just more money for the taken. If you are interested in the great sport of horse racing you are at the right website for sure this site is here to promote the sport of horse racing and to educate the new and experienced player alike showing you how to enjoy and most of all profit in the horse racing game of today and believe it or not it is getting easier than it was years ago, why like I said above, because our competitors are far less knowledgeable recreational weekend sports players - non -handicappers, who drop lots of money into a sport they really have no clue about or how its pari-mutuel wagering system even works and that's just fine with me and the rest of the serious horse players on track, online and around the globe today for us, its like taking candy from a baby as they use to say.
This brings us to the subject of this webpage, using race replays to win money in this sport called horse racing. I us the word replays because they are readily available for today's serious horse players either online at the race track and most OTB parlors. I prefer to watch them in the comfort and quiet of my own home. I sometimes watch the same race over and over until I know everything that happened in the particular race. I then send my data to my free online stable at Equibase, you can use any online provider for your racing data, most are free I find Equibase's Free Virtual Stable Service the easiest to use and its loaded with the best notification options available for free that I could find online, when one horse's I've entered in my Equibase Stable is racing, I get an alert to my Smart phone, PC, mobile device and an e-mail with all the details about that upcoming race All for Free. Why the younger generation isn't all over this is type of wagering is beyond me, who writes the programs, thought kids were the future of all these new wagering gizmos..?.

Pari-mutuel Wagering Explained
Unlike most gaming, Horse Racing is a pari-mutuel venture. That means that rather than betting against the house, you are betting against everyone wagering on the race. All the money that is wagered goes into one big pot. A small percentage of the pot is taken out, paying for things like purses, racetrack operation and regulation. The rest goes to winning wagers. The Race Track has no interest in the outcome of any races run; the track profit is the same regardless of which horse wins the race. Remember in the game of horse racing a handicappers Knowledge is King in this game the more you work at it, the better you become at taking all the weekend players cash.
